PHP Developer

Job Description
As a PHP Developer, you will engineer sites with rich user experiences, identify and troubleshoot issues, create and update both design and functional documents, provide input regarding new technologies and integrate them with online applications to further enhance the usability and performance of the sites.

You will work with development and project managers through the whole project lifecycle, understanding and refining front-end and user interface requirements and clearly documenting the development process.

Technical Skills Required

• 3+ years experience with PHP 4/5
• Object Oriented experience preferred
• Solid academic background — business, engineering or IT related degree preferred (additional experience may substitute)
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience and understanding of cross browser compatibility issues
• Experience with Apache and PHP Extensions
• Comfortable at the command line
• Solid UNIX background
• Experience with SQL, specifically MySQL
• .NET experience a plus
• Source code samples will be required for consideration

• Problem solving and time management skills
• Ability to work in both an individual and team based environment
• Ability to communicate with internal and external customers clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple job tasks simultaneously
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
